A 24k gold cupcake for the silverspoon set has arrived, just in time for Long Island’s fabled summer season.
Meet Hamptons Gold, a champagne cake topped in 24k gold that’s so visually stunning it’s sure to be making cameo appearances in Instagram feeds across Long Island’s priciest zip codes.
Hamptons Gold is the the star of Sweet Epiphany’s all-new Long Island Cupcake Collection, featuring locally sourced, in-season ingredients and exclusive, handmade extracts. At $100 per cupcake — the mini version commands $75 — this is a cake that makes any occasion spectacular.
Also making its debut is the Long Islander, which was designed to meld two of the Island’s favorite flavors: A chocolate cupcake infused with locally roasted coffee, filled with chocolate whipped cream and beautifully attired in a chocolate coffee frosting that’s drizzled with a Kahlua chocolate ganache. Perched atop? A dark chocolate covered espresso bean.
If chocolate’s not your thing (yes, there’s always one in the crowd), then head on over to the south shore, where there’s always a party going on: Take Sweet Epiphany’s Fire Island rainbow-cookie-inspired cupcake or the Ocean Bay, the cupcake equivalent of that local drink fave, the Rocket Fuel. Or, take one of each.
Soon to be introduced to the Long Island Collection: The Montauk and the North Fork. There’s also an Enchanted Kids’ Cakes line and Pawfection Cakes for the family pets in the making. Sweet Epiphany, by the way, was created in 2012 and has evolved into one of Long Island’s premier luxury online bakeries.
Talk about one sweet summer.
